BONS Award 2021

I am so pleased to announce that The Studio has been awarded North of Boston Magazine’s BONS Award for 2021. We won both the Readers’ Choice and Editors’ Choice for Best small live/virtual venue for the whole North Shore. I congratulate all of our teachers, directors, writers, actors, and project producers. You all adapted brilliantly to the circumstances and challenges of the past 18 months, bringing a continuous flow of great material to our audiences.  This honor is yours!

Executive Director

Be Part of our Future.

There are many ways to  participate at The Studio. If you are too busy to volunteer, take classes, or perform, an important and meaningful option is financial support for our new expanded facility.

Founded in 1991, the Actors Studio of Newburyport is a 501©(3) theater, which serves as a vital cultural resource for the community: to inspire, enrich and engage audiences and to develop both the art form and the individual.

Versatile
Performance Venue

Our 62-seat black box theater is host to established plays, new original works, staged readings, film and musical performances.
